Criteria for boarding

  • For various reasons including legal and behavioural, we cannot accept the following breeds or types of dogs into our hotel:

 

-    Akita Inu

-    Alaskan Malamute 
-    American Pit Bull Terrier 
-    Cane Corso
-    Dogo Argentino (Mastiff) 

-    Doberman
-    Fila Brasileiro
-    German Shepherds (aka Alsatians)
-    Japanese Tosa/Inu/Mastiff
-    Mastiffs    
-    Pit Bull Terrier

-    Presa Canario (Mastiff)
-    Rottweiler

-    Shar Pei

-    Siberian Husky
-    Staffordshire Bull Terrier

-    XL Bully    
 

  • We are unable to accept dogs that require injections or blood samples eg for diabetes monitoring. 
     
  • Dogs must have a collar, lead and identification tag – no choke chains are permitted.
     
  • Dogs need not be spayed or neutered, but we may have to restrict bookings for dogs that have not been spayed or neutered.
     
  • Dogs must not be aggressive to staff or other dogs.
     
  • Dogs must have their own toys, and we recommend you bring their own bed too, if practicable. This is so they have familiar items with them. 
     
  • Vaccinations must have been administered within the following time scales but not within 2 weeks of your check in:

    Canine parvovirus : within the last 3 years prior to their check in
    Canine distemper : within the last 3 years prior to their check in
    Infectious hepatitis : within the last 3 years prior to their check in
    Leptospirosis : within the last 12 months prior to their check in
    Kennel Cough : within the last 6-12 months prior to their check in

    For added piece of mind, you my wish to check your dog has had their worm and flea treatment 3 months before staying with us. 

Booking process

Feel free to look over our booking form. Once you have completed a walkabout (if you haven't been with us before) and wish to book:
 

  1. Complete the booking form either at the time of your walk about, or via email.

    Please remember to include an emergency contact on the form, which may not be yourself. 
     
  2. We will check eligibility and availability, as well as clarify any information about your pet. 
     
  3. You must pay your 50% deposit within 3 days of us confirming availability. If we do not receive this, we will cancel the booking. 

    Payments can be made at our office by card or cash, or by bank transfer. A link for online payment can be sent to you which may incur a 2.5% fee handling charge. 
     
  4. When the big day arrives, just bring your dog to us with their collar and lead, any medication, toys, bedding (if you wish) and food & treats (if applicable). 

    Please pay your outstanding balance. 

    We'll need you to sign your booking form if this was sent to us via email. 
     
    Don't forget proof of vaccinations!

If you download this on a mobile device (iPad etc) then when the form opens, 'send' this to Acrobat or your preferred PDF viewing software, and you should be able to complete it in that app. 
The app may offer you the option to 'Send a copy' where you can choose your email provider and email it to us.
